Lidl's very own Christmas cola truck goes on tour from today - and the supermarket is giving away free gifts at each stop.
The truck is bright red in colour and is based on the Lidl own-brand Freeway cola drink. Shoppers will be able to visit the truck at nine locations across the UK, starting from today - and at each stop, the supermarket will give away over 2,000 present boxes, food shops and food samples. You can find a full list of all the stops below.
You'll also be able to submit a Christmas wish at each of the stops - and Lidl says it will grant a number of them. To mark the launch of its Freeway truck, Lidl has created a new Christmas advert. The festive clip features "Nick" who brings the Freeway truck to life before it sets off on its festive tour.
Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director at Lidl GB, said: “Giving back to the communities we serve is really important to us and our exciting new Freeway truck allows us to get right into the heart of them this year. By touring nine stops across the country, we'll be using our giant truck to hand out present boxes, give away festive food shops and grant wishes that will make dreams come true. Look out for the Freeway truck on its tour and most importantly, come join the fun.”
It comes after Coca-Cola confirmed its Christmas Truck Tour is back for 2024. Coca-Cola fans can follow announcements about the schedule which will be made over the coming weeks on Instagram @CocaColaGBI on X/ Twitter @CocaCola_GB. For every person that attends the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour, the equivalent of a meal will be donated on their behalf.
Coca-Cola aims to donate the equivalent of up to a total of one million meals via FareShare this festive season. For those unable to visit the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck in person, a promotion with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and Coca-Cola Original Taste will invite fans to scan on-pack QR codes for the chance to win thousands of festive gifts, including pre-loaded £200 "Festive Feast" gift cards.
