Escape to the Country presenter Jules Hudson revealed a house with an extraordinary feature that left buyers in awe. On Thursdays (November 21) episode of the BBC show, Jules was helping a couple relocate from Lancashire to Moray, Scotland, in pursuit of their perfect house.
Maria, who works as a higher education consultant, and Danielle, a recently retired police officer, had a sizeable budget of £400,000 and needed ample space for their dogs, cats, and 26 chickens, along with a focus on energy efficiency.
Jules lined up several properties to tour, but it was the mystery house in Lossiemouth, Moray, that rendered the pair speechless.
This distinctive and individually styled detached house boasted an impressive entrance hall, a stunning open-plan kitchen-living-dining area, a galleried study space, and three bedrooms, including an opulent suite.
Yet, it was a particular feature that really astonished them a beautifully placed balcony right in the centre of a wall, adorned with grand iron railings, offering views over the dining and living room space, reports Wales Online.
Upon discovering the property, Jules bypassed the lower living quarters and led the way upstairs, remarking: "The view of the kitchen-diner, one quite unlike any I've ever seen before."
Danielle was struck by the beauty of the place, confessing: "This is stunning. Aw Jules you've floored us with this one."
Maria echoed her astonishment: "It is stunning. It's a wildest dream, I would never have thought you could find something like this."
While dissecting the property's value post-inspection in the garden, Danielle took a punt that it might be listed at £395,000, while Maria speculated it had attracted bids over £380,000.
Both were taken by surprise once more when Jules disclosed: "You will be delighted to know, I am sure, this has been slightly reduced. They're now looking for offers over £365,000."
In spite of their initial enchantment with the place, Maria and Danielle decided not to bid on it, instead opting for a different house after their time on the BBC programme wrapped up.
