Traditional Leaders v Collaborative Leaders

If recently saw the below infographic from the Disney Institute (yeah, I'd never heard of the Disney Institute before either, but it does look cool and if anyone has a free ticket to go, feel free to pass it onto me).

I love this – it articulates a lot of how I feel about great leadership. It's a collaborative type of leader that I want to follow (and get to follow with @simonbenham as our church pastor @kerithcommunity). It's also the type of leader that I want and hope to be as I lead various bits and pieces.

Just one thing I'd change about the infographic though – it says “The world is changing. Leadership is changing. The future is collaborative.“. Personally I believe (probably dependent on the organisation/business/charity/church you're involved with), that “The world is changing. Leadership is changing. The NOW is collaborative.” . I simply can't see how a Traditional Leader could make as much of a difference in comparison to a Collaborative.

P.S yeah, I know it's bad English. Whatever 🙂
